Do you love peanuts?
I don’t just mean regular, roasted peanuts from the grocery store.
In order to try true, craft peanuts, a visit to The Alabama Peanut Company is a MUST.
Take a leisurely drive down historical Morris Avenue and it’s rustic, cobblestone streets. The delicious, savory smells tempt visitors walking down the sidewalks.
The door is usually open, beckoning you to walk in. Upon entering, you will see the peanut roasters from yesteryear. These roasters perfectly craft Roasted, Salted, Cajun and Dark Roasted peanuts.
I am partial to the boiled peanuts. Each day, Cajun and Salted are offered, along with a special flavor of the day. Each Saturday, there is a larger menu to choose from. Just a few of the flavors include Dale’s Jalapeño, Collard Greens, Greek, Buffalo Ranch and Old Bay PBR.
The staff at The Alabama Peanut Company is amazing. They will welcome you warmly and are attentive to your needs. If there’s a flavor you aren’t sure about, they will let you sample first.
If you are in a hurry, online ordering is available. Your order will be ready by the door, expertly packaged.
Recently, The Alabama Peanut Company added a huge addition to their menu. You can now order gallon sized containers of peanuts, shipped right to your door!
Note: Boiled peanut buckets can only be shipped to Alabama addresses at this time. Roasted peanut buckets can be shipped nationwide.
I had engagement photos made on Morris Avenue and I insisted on having one made at the Peanut Company.
Yes. I’m a little obsessed.
Prices vary depending on size and type. Half a pound of Roasted Peanuts are $3.00 per bag and several larger sizes are available. A small boiled Salted peanuts are $6.00 per cup and larger sizes are available. For more information and to order, click here.

Do they still feed the pigeons?

The pigeons are usually standing in line with me to buy peanuts!
