2020’s been a hard year, but thankfully there are those in the Birmingham community who continue to try and help. Hosted by Lane Harper’s Power of Life Foundation and the Fraternal Order of Police (Lodge #1), a Thanksgiving Drive Thru Free Mask & Free Food Giveaway will take place this Saturday, November 21st.
The Power of Life Foundation serves those in need by providing assistance with basic human needs. These include food, clothing, health and wellness issues, temporary housing, and youth programs.

With community resources strained in 2020, the Power of Life Foundation’s mission has been focused on helping local communities with food insufficiency and providing resources to help flatten the curve and slow the spread of infection.

The program, along with noragardner.com, Sustainable Tallahassee and the Loving Hands Sewing Group plans to provide ten thousand reusable cloth face masks on Saturday. Over sixty thousand face masks have already been distributed to date.
Food will be provided for more than five hundred families through the Community Food Bank of Central Alabama and Representative Louise Alexander of District 56.
To participate, come to Legion Field Stadium, 400 Graymont Ave. W. on Saturday morning. Pick up will run from 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM.
