Their mission statement is as follows:
“Leave It To Us was founded with the intention of providing shopping services to elderly people in the community who could not shop for themselves due to recent risks. Our goal as the younger generation is to help shape and change the lives of the ones who have given so much to us already.”
The Birmingham chapter launched in April 2020 and is headed up by Ibukun Afon. In an article by WBRC, Afon said, “Just being able to give back to the community is something that we’ve always valued, and to do that in Birmingham is very important to flattening the curve and being able to provide a service to people who can’t get out and do it themselves.”
To take advantage of this FREE service for senior citizens, go to the Birmingham chapter of Leave It To Us on Facebook, or go to their website here. Place your order online. Your items will be paid for, picked up, and delivered. Reimburse your shopper with either cash or check during delivery.
