Farmers to Families drive-thru food distribution this Saturday

Farmers to Families will be back in the Birmingham area with a drive-thru food distribution for those in need of a helping hand this Saturday.

Farmers to Families; fresh fruits and vegetables to those in need this Saturday

Head over to The Fountain Heights Recreation Center, located at 1101 15th Ave. N. on Saturday, September 5th from 10:30 to 12:30. All food to be distributed is pre-packaged and will be handed out via drive-thru in the parking lot. Boxes will consist of fresh fruits and vegetables.

Food distribution is on a first-come, first-served basis so be sure to arrive early.

On-site voter registration will also be taking place with the help of the Birmingham Chapter of NAACP.

This event is sponsored by Saint John AME Church- Feed My Sheep Ministry, I Am Bham, Building Healthy Communities- a UAB Initiative, Birmingham Foodbank, United Way, Birmingham Park and Recreation, and Feeding America.

Food will be distributed by the Fountain Heights Neighborhood Association.
