It’s KID-STUFF CONSIGNMENT SEASON in Birmingham! Get your kiddos ready for spring and summer by shopping at these weekend sales coming up in February and March. If you’ve never been to a kid’s consignment sale, they’re treasure troves of seasonal clothes and equipment, much of which has been worn or used for just one season. Most sales are sponsored and run by church-affiliated preschools or local parenting groups who take a percentage of the sales as fundraisers for their children’s programs or use the proceeds for church missions. Find name-brand items for considerably less than retail and outfit your little one in style. Toys, bedding, and equipment such as strollers are usually also available at steep discounts. Become a consignor and some places give you not only a return on your money but also an early-bird entry to the sale! Volunteers are always needed and are also often given perks like discounts or early entry.

Kingdom Kids Consignment raises money for missions. They offer clothes and shoes for babies, kids, tweens, and teens as well as baby gear, bedding, furniture, books, movies, and maternity clothes. This year they’re partnering with Bundles of Hope Diaper Bank.  The first 100 people to bring a donation of diapers will receive a $5 voucher good for Saturday’s sale.
