Featuring wildlife that’s native to Alabama, this educational program will be held in the Ruffner Mountain outdoor amphitheater, below the pavilion. Learn about these animals’ natural habitats and how they’ve adapted to environmental changes over time in order to survive.
The Ruffner Mountain Nature Preserve is located in Birmingham’s historic South East Lake Neighborhood and is 1,038 acres in size. There are fourteen miles of trails through the Preserve’s forests which connect the communities of Irondale, Roebuck Springs, East Lake, and Greater Birmingham.
For the low cost of $7 a month, you can become a supporting member of Ruffner Mountain. Memberships helps support everything this fantastic space has to offer including the trails, educational programming, the Nature Center, the Pavilion, and even the restrooms and parking lots.
If a membership isn’t for you, a small donation of $3 is requested when visiting. .

Masks are required for those over 6 years old.
