Famous children's book authors and illustrators at Homewood Public Library

Homewood Public Library will host over thirty, award-winning children’s authors and illustrators this Friday, March 13th from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM. This fantastic event is FREE and OPEN TO THE PUBLIC!

‘Owl Moon,’ the award-winning book by Jane Yolen

Come out and meet local authors Irene Latham, Jo Kittinger, and Randi Pink. Get your book signed by none other than Jane Yolen (who is to children’s literature what Oprah is to daytime talk shows! Squee!)

This event is both a book signing and a portfolio show. Meet and chat with world-renowned authors and illustrators as you check out the illustration portfolios. This event will take place in the large auditorium.

CALLING ALL BIRMINGHAM BOOKWORMS!

Authors and illustrators taking part in this event are in town this weekend for a conference by the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI), where both established and aspiring writers and illustrators come to take workshops, lead classes, and meet others in the children’s book industry.
