In this fantastic collaboration, Hop City Craft Beer & Wine will provide beer, and Birmingham-based recording artist, Monica King Slater, will provide musical entertainment

ABOUT BARDS & BREWS
The Alabama State Council on the Arts, which is a sponsor of the Bards & Brews series, provides arts funding to organizations across the state of Alabama.
Bards & Brews was co-founded by the late Brian “A Free Voice” Porter Hawkins, the former Creative Director, and Emcee, who humbly notes that the event was an idea initially formed by Haruyo Miyagawa, a librarian at the Central Library in downtown Birmingham. Hawkins was an incredible advocate for the arts and strived to promote literacy as frequently as he could throughout the city of Birmingham, hosting the popular event since its launch before suddenly passing away on August 25, 2021, just short two weeks of the August 13 Bards & Brews event.
An event that continues to bring an amazing array of talented and diverse poets together, the Bards & Brews “Strong Her” event will be on Friday, March 11, 2022.
TIME: Friday, March 11, 2022, 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
LOCATION: Birmingham Central Public Library, 2100 Park Pl., Birmingham, AL 35203
