Right now, let’s just adore this unofficial National Pie Day for what it is — a day we show gratitude for the sweet, circle of deliciousness that likes to hang ‘a round’ the hips long after it leaves our lips! From baked apple pie to sweet potato pie, chocolate cream pie, and key lime pie, it can be hard to pick a favorite. I don’t even think I’ve got one.

 

This is when it gets really fun to go out and just try them all! Everyone is not a baker, and although I make a pretty mean, green apple pie, it’s great to see what others are doing to get a different flavor than I get on my homemade version.

 

Here are a few of our favorite places that we hope you give a try. Surprisingly, though, none of these amazing spots except Edolyn’s Pies answered the call for a FREE or CHEAP deal when we reached out to ask. Several are even closed ON National Pie Day since the 23rd kind of lands on various days.

Although this shop is sadly, temporarily closed, it is worth making the list! The airiness of their pastries and the pie crust on their lemon raspberry tart are an absolute experience.

Whether it’s the lemon chess, blueberry lemon chess, the brownie, pecan, or sweet potato pie, pies that are 4″ and $5 each make it hard to say “No” to just one. Currently hibernating until February 11, 2022, JaWanda’s special Sweet Potato Pies along with the Orange Cream, Mallow, and Marble Chocolate are like a bear hug wrapping your soul. Strange to be closed during a National (unofficial) Pie Day!
