Don’t miss the St. Elias Lebanese Food and Cultural Festival, going on August 7th and 8th from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
Located at St. Elias Maronite Catholic Church, this is the 22st year of this festival. Since 1999, this cultural event has been family-friendly, featuring fun activities and a silent auction. This year due to safety concerns, the plan has moved to a drive-thru and take-out event only for food purchases, with virtual activities and the silent auction featured online.

Since 1910, St. Elias Maronite Catholic Church has played a huge role in the Lebanese community of Birmingham. The festival is held as a fundraiser and a quarter of the money raised is always donated to local charities.
Over the last twenty years, over $550,000 has been donated to local charities such as The Alabama Children’s Hospital Foundation, Magic City Harvest, The Exceptional Foundation, and The Foundry of Bessemer. Visit their website for a complete list of organizations. With the recent tragic events in Lebanon, a portion of the proceeds will also benefit the relief efforts there.
St. Elias Maronite Catholic Church is located at 836 8th Street, South which is between University Blvd. and 10th Ave. South.
Take out orders will be available on the south side of the church (where it was last year) for customers wishing to walk up and order on site. Please follow social distancing guidelines and taped directions.
A new drive-thru option allows customers to place orders and pick them up from their cars in the main church parking lot. Please follow the signs directing traffic.

- Deluxe plate (3 pieces of kibbee, spinach pie, beans, rice, bread) – $16
- Meat Pie plate (2 meat pies, beans, rice, bread) – $14
- Vegetarian plate (2 spinach pies, beans, rice, bread) – $12
A dessert sampler platter is also available for $25
