Birmingham’s beloved Pepper Place Farmers Market will update its shopping procedures starting on July 4th, 2020.
Since April, Pepper Place has remained open as a Drive-Thru market only. This method required customers to order and pay on-line with various vendors prior to a drive-thru pick-up on Saturdays.

In a letter to the public, Market Manager, Lisa Beasley, announced this week that after careful consideration, the market will keep its remaining procedure for online ordering and pick-up, but will also open for walk-around customers this Saturday, July 4th.
“Please be assured we are following CDC, WHO, Alabama Dept. of Health, and City of Birmingham guidelines and safety recommendations,” stated Beasley about the new Hybrid Market. “In a time of uncertainty, our number one goal is the safety and health of our community.”
“We are equally committed to feeding our community during a time when the local food system may offer benefits of safety and reliability with less handling, shipping, and risk of contamination.”
