Do you know someone who’s getting worried they can’t afford food? Here’s how to help.
Through the Great Grocery Giveback, individuals who’ve been laid-off or furloughed can get a week’s supply of groceries.

This initiative, sponsored by Tito’s Handmade Vodka, Young Professionals of Birmingham, Sysco Corporation, and Stella Artois is working with other sponsors to feed as many laid-off and furloughed individuals as possible.
Because it’s a first-come, first-served situation, individuals who need help should sign up ASAP in order to be eligible to pick up a box of groceries at one of the designated locations. You can register here. The list of groceries will change each and can be viewed on the website. Groceries are selected based on cost-effectiveness, versatility, and lending themselves to a well-rounded meal.
Each week, registration starts Sunday at 12 noon and ends the following Wednesday at 2:00 PM, unless tickets have sold out prior to this. Notifications will be sent by email. Pickup will be every Friday. You will be able to select your distribution location and pick up time during the online registration.
