Here’s a rundown of event activities and details provided directly from the Birmingham Museum of Art that are sure to help you set the tone for a happy holiday!

• Get in the Mix! // DJ Gina Tollese will set the seasonal vibe with an assortment of soulful tunes all evening long in the Main Lobby.
• Movie Merrython // Stop by our cafe for a special film screening of some holiday classics. At 5:30 p.m. we’ll begin with National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation and at 7:10pm we’ll enjoy the Steven Spielberg classic, Gremlins.
• Cookie Decorating // Decorate holiday cookies with vivid geometric patterns and vibrant colors to instill mystical curiosity, inspired by artist Rico Gatson, whose work is currently on display in our Pizitz gallery as part of our All Things Bright & Beautiful exhibition.
• Acorn Dreidel Making // Upcycle your fall harvest with this art activity where we’ll use acorns to create holiday dreidels.
• Scavenger Hunt // Immerse yourself in a scavenger hunt through our galleries exploring the awkward world of holiday family photos.
• Ugly Sweater Vibes // Come one, come all, and come ugly! We’ve decided to celebrate the good, bad, and ugly parts of this year and encourage you to join us by wearing your ugliest holiday sweater. Special prize for the tackiest sweater of all!
• Holiday 360 Video Booth // Capture the fun and document your ugly sweater vibes in a special holiday-themed photo booth by Bliss Booth. This 360-degree photo booth captures slow-motion videos of you and your friends during the event and immediately shares them to your smartphone for all your social-sharing needs.
