The 79th Magic City Classic returns to Birmingham this week to the excitement of football fans, and Birmingham On The Cheap is here for it!
HBCU rivals, Alabama State University (ASU) and Alabama A&M University (AAMU) will go head-to-head this Saturday, April 17 at 6:30 p.m. Football fans and supporters can purchase tickets on the Magic City Classic website now before they’re sold out.
The biggest event in Birmingham for the ASU Hornets and the A&M Bulldogs, the Magic City Classic was indeed missed by fans due to the global shutdown. As officials seek to maintain patrons’ safety in the ongoing pandemic, the fun resumes in 2021 in several unique ways.
Tickets will be provided electronically and must be shown via a smartphone device to enter Legion Field on Saturday.
Seating is also limited due to COVID-19. Therefore, patrons are encouraged to purchase their tickets quickly. If tickets run out, fans will be able watch the game broadcast live on ESPNU (check your local cable listings).
In addition, fans should visit the venue page here for the 2021 stadium bag policy and a list of prohibited items prior to heading out. Below is a list of scheduled events leading up to the big game, which will be updated as needed.
COST:
- $35 per ticket
- All ages must be ticketed for the football game
